Ableman Garwe

Mathematics and Science Teacher/Tutor
Description
I am an experienced Mathematics and Science teacher with a strong background in Physics, Chemistry and Biology across both international and Australian secondary settings. I bring a deep understanding of curriculum requirements and assessment standards, gained through teaching the British curriculum (IGCSE and A Level) and the NSW syllabus. My teaching style is structured, student-centred and concept-driven, with a strong emphasis on clarity, logical progression and real-world application. In science, I prioritise practical investigations and inquiry-based learning to develop students’ Working Scientifically skills, while in mathematics I focus on problem-solving, reasoning and mathematical fluency. I consistently differentiate instruction to support diverse learning needs and to extend high-achieving students. My methodology combines explicit teaching, formative assessment and targeted feedback to build confidence and independence in learners. This approach has resulted in strong student engagement, measurable academic growth and improved examination outcomes, particularly in senior mathematics and science subjects. I am committed to maintaining high expectations while fostering a supportive classroom environment that enables students to achieve their full potential.
